Design

designDesign is about more than making things look cool. More than making eye-candy. Good design is a presenting ideas in a way that invites users, clients and customers to find what it is they're looking for. Everyone is a designer, or at very least knows someone who has 'designed a website' (a postcard, a flier, a MySpace page, a presentation, et al.). These range from handsome and usable to confusing to 'meh'. We build out good design for good functionality. Sometimes it is our own initial conception and revisions that we build from. Sometimes we build from other designs. But it's all designing.

When you design a website you're not just picking a graphic style, a slickly envisioned look to the menus, or to your member newsletter, or promotion to potential clients. You need the design to service the content. And you need the tools for delivering the message to be easy manage.

All that said. We have shoveled a lot of pixels to make things look handsome and inviting. We don't claim to be able to do everything, and perhaps have a definite style, but we work well with Art Directors and clients and enjoy new challenges.
